Connect The Propane Tank To A Barbecue Pit

Grilling food with propane is a fun family activity.

Grilling with propane is often preferred by people who prefer a clean barbecue experience and dislike the smell or taste of charcoal smoke in their food. Connecting a propane tank to a barbecue pit is a simple process. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Open the grill cover. Place the tank on the ground beside the barbecue pit.

2. Locate the connection hose. One should accompany the barbecue pit. If one cannot be found or if the existing line is damaged, purchase quick connect fitting for propane lines at your local hardware store.

3. Tear the perforated seal on the tank's bottle valve cover and remove the plastic cap.

4. Connect the hose running from the barbecue pit to the propane tank. Push the coupler into the valve, and tighten the hose to a snug fit by hand-twisting the coupler.

5. Turn the propane tank valve one full hand rotation to enable the supply of propane to flow to the barbecue pit.

6. Light the grill to ensure that propane is flowing correctly into the pit.
