What Is A Cartridge Barrel Pump

Cartridge barrel pumps are an effective way to maintain and monitor the movement of oil.

In the petroleum industry, barrel pumps are used to transport oil from one stage of a refinery to another during the many processes relative to the distillation of crude. When they are enhanced with cartridge seals, they are easily repaired.

Barrel Pumps

A diffuser barrel pump has many applications, including the movement of oil, power generation, high-pressure water injection, boiler feeds and utilities.

Cartridge Assembly

Various components along the pump's route have a unique function. A cartridge gathers these components into one unit--the cartridge barrel pump. This cartridge is composed of a rotor, a discharge head, a suction head and a bearing assembly.

Barrel Pump Maintenance

The manner in which the cartridge is constructed allows it to be removed as one piece for ease of maintenance or inspection. Rather than replace one of its components, it is more efficient to replace the entire cartridge, ensuring that all parts are new and ready to perform their functions optimally.
