Camo Paint Barrels

Painting camouflage patterns on items, such as old barrels, is done with homemade stencils and a variety of spray paint colors. The colors used for the camouflage need to be relevant to the region or area you want them blending into. Camouflage barrels get used around paintball courses or outdoor obstacle courses. To customize your course with the barrels, paint them in your own work area with the colors of the region.

Instructions

1. Spread out the cardboard sheets and draw random shapes along the top. Cut these out and set the cut out sections aside.

2. Spread newspapers out and set the barrels on top. Spray the barrels down with a base coat of primer gray. Let the paint dry and then tape the stencil cut outs onto the barrel in random positions.

3. Spray the stencils with the lightest color of the paint selection and let it dry. Remove the stencils, reposition and tape them to the barrel, and spray them with the next darker shade of paint.

4. Continue the tape, paint and removal process, advancing one shade darker each time until the barrels have a suitable camouflage pattern.
