Check Who Has Filed For Divorce In Dane County Wisconsin

You can find out who has filed for divorce in Dane County, Wisconsin, through a database maintained by the clerk of courts.


Dane County, in southern Wisconsin, is home to the state capital, Madison. The county clerk of courts maintains a searchable online database that provides free access to pending court cases. With just a few clicks of the mouse you can find out who has filed for divorce in Dane County.


Instructions


1. Access the Dane County, Wisconsin, clerk of courts home page (see References).


2. Under the "Quick Links" heading, click "Look Up Your Case."


3. Read the user agreement in the text box and click "I Agree."


4. Click the "Advanced Search" tab at the top of the page.


5. Choose "FA-Family" in the drop-down menu next to "Case Type" and enter "40101" in the text box next to "Class Code." Do not enter quotation marks into the text box.


6. Click the "Search" button at the bottom of the screen. The database will display a list of pending divorce cases.


7. Search under the heading labeled "Party" for the names of those who have filed for divorce in Dane County.
