Rainsoft is a company that was founded in 1953 and that produces air and water treatment systems. Instructions
1. Relieve any line pressure by turning off the supply to the cold water and opening the cold water faucet. Install the inlet shut-off valve between the faucet and the shut-off valve of the existing cold water supply in a way that conforms to local and state plumbing codes. Use a shut-off valve that has a 1/4-inch connection.
2. Remove the packaging from the filter housing. Put 1 tablespoon of 5.25 percent household bleach into a bucket of water. Soak the rubber spacer, o-ring and filter housing for five minutes in the bleach water. Press the rubber spacer onto the threaded stud inside the filter housing's top half. Remove the filter cartridge from the sterile housing while wearing sterile gloves and screw it onto the threaded stud without over-tightening it. Do not touch non-sterile objects so you do not contaminate the filter cartridge.
3. Use a non-petroleum lubricant to lubricate the o-ring and place it on the housing flange of the bottom filter. Put the bottom and top filter housings together, put the retainer band on the flanges and tighten the hand knob until it is tight. The filter housing may leak if the hand knob is not tight.
4. Position the bracket and allow for the width and height of the unit. Mount the bracket so that the single hole is at the bottom and the two holes are at the top. Tilt the top side of the Hydrefiner System toward the wall and slide the band upward and into the bracket's upper notch. Straighten the unit and allow the retainer band's bottom to set into the lower notch.
5. Use the 1/4-inch OD tubing to connect the inlet of the filter housing to the inlet shut-off valve. Press the tubing in firmly to secure the connection.
6. Install the faucet by putting the flow restrictor in 3/8-inch OD tubing and connecting it to the outlet of the filter housing. Connect the new faucet to the filter housing outlet. Press the tubing in firmly to secure the connection.
